Michael Jackson 'drank six bottles of wine a day in weeks leading to death' claims friend and godfather to his children, Mark Lester

The godfather of Michael Jackson’s children has come forward to say that the King Of Pop drank six bottles of wine a day in the weeks leading up to his death.
His friend Mark Lester has claimed that the troubled star, who died of acute Propofol intoxication in 2009, used to get him to smuggle the alcohol into hotels past his strict security team in a desperate attempt to beat his insomnia.
Mark, who found fame as a child playing Oliver, also went on the claim that the Thriller singer was ‘paralytic’ at the press conference to announce his This Is It residency at London's The O2, which was scheduled to begin just weeks after he died in June 2009.

‘He sobered up enough to struggle through the This Is It speech, which he just about got away with.’
Mark, 54, who was a close friend of Michael's right up until this death, gave an interview to the News of the World in August 2009 claiming that he could be the biological father of Paris Katherine Jackson, the late singer's daughter.
Lester claimed to have been a sperm donor for Jackson in 1996, and announced that he was willing to take a paternity test to determine whether he was the father.

In the same interview he claimed he had not been allowed contact with them since Jackson's death: 'It's very, very upsetting not being able to see all those children; they're my godchildren, and I love them dearly.'

Meanwhile Michael's mother Katherine is suing the concert promoters AEG Live for wrongful death, alleging they were negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray , who is serving a four-year jail term for the involuntary manslaughter of the Thriller star, to care for Michael as he prepared for his comeback shows.

After a judge ruled that there was sufficient evidence to warrant a jury trial, the family’s lawyer Kevin Boyle said: ‘The truth about what happened to Michael, which AEG has tried to keep hidden from the public since the day Michael died, is finally emerging.

‘We look forward to the trial where the rest of the story will come to light.’
The family are demanding $10.2billion for loss of future earnings by Jackson, and nearly $40billion in other damages.
The case opens in Los Angeles on Monday.
The news comes as a former maid said workers at his Los Angeles estate had found the singer 'dead' on two separate occasions.

According to revelations made by Adrian McManus, who worked as Jackson's personal maid in the 1990s, she and other staffers on the Neverland estate would come upon the singer passed out after taking dozens of pills prescribed by his medical staff, who would spend hours locked in a room with the singer.
A spokesperson for Michael Jackson's estate has been contacted for comment.
