Lisa Marie Presley has dropped the asking price of her exclusive Hidden Hills, CA horse property by $2 million to $6,995,000.
According to Real Estalker, Presley covertly listed the compound last fall for $8,995,000. The ranch’s main house was built in 1981 and she’s owned it since December 1993. Property records show the main house is alternately listed as having 5 bedrooms and 5½ bathrooms or 4 bedrooms and 5 baths but the official REALTOR.com® listing counts 8 bedrooms and 9 baths, perhaps because of separate guest houses. The sprawling estate also features a stable.
Though raised for part of her life at Graceland with its over-the-top décor her father Elvis so loved, Lisa Marie’s house is sedate by comparison. The house is country in style, though it has a tiny kitschy element with flowers stenciled onto the kitchen cabinetry.
The house has wood-beamed ceilings and most of the flooring is hardwood with the exception of tile in the kitchens.
The only child of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley followed in her father’s footsteps by releasing her first album in 2003, To Whom it May Concern, which was certified gold. Her follow-up album, Now What, was also certified gold.
Presley married four times – to Danny Keough, father of two of her children, pop star Michael Jackson, actor Nicolas Cage and her present husband, musician Michael Lockwood, with whom she had twin girls. She and her family left Hidden Hills to move to England last year.
Gated with a guard on duty, Hidden Hills has long been a celebrity enclave, having had such famous residents at one time or another as Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Melissa Etheridge and her estranged spouse Tammy Michaels, gold medalist Bruce Jenner and his wife Kris, both of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Beau Bridges, Denise Richards, Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks and singer LeAnn Rimes.
