Riley’s latest outing comes amid claims she and her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, 77, haven’t been speaking due to disagreements over the trust and estate Lisa Marie left behind after her unexpected death at the age of 54 in Jan. Priscilla has apparently filed a petition in Los Angeles, CA that questions the “authenticity and validation” of the trust, which reportedly leaves her late daughter’s assets, including the late Elvis Presley‘s Graceland, to her surviving children, Riley and her twin daughters Finley and Harper.

“Riley and Priscilla are not talking. Their relationship is changing, that is true … it’s just so sad. This is the time Riley would really need her grandmother,” a source told Page Six. “Riley is seeing a new side of her grandmother.”

“Riley’s not looking for a war,” another source said. “She always had a good relationship with her grandmother. Lisa had her issues with her mother, but … she didn’t drag [her kids] into [their] personal issues.”

Shortly after the reports about Priscilla challenging Lisa Marie’s trust made headlines, the former wife of Elvis released her own statement about the situation. “I loved Elvis very much as he loved me. Lisa is a result of our love,” the statement read on Feb. 3. “For anyone to think anything differently would be a travesty of the family legacy and would be disrespectful of what Elvis left behind in his life.”

She also criticized the source reports about her challenging the trust. “This person is not a representative of Elvis or our family. Please allow us the time we need to work together and sort this out,” the statement further read.

“Please ignore ‘the noise.’ As I have always been there for Elvis’ legacy, our family and the fans, I will continue to forge a pathway forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity and love.”

Riley Keough says filming sex scene with her real-life husband was 'really uncomfortable': 'It was so weird'

Riley Keough revealed that filming a sex scene with her real-life husband Ben Smith-Petersen for her new series "Daisy Jones & the Six" was unexpectedly "awkward."

During a Thursday appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," the 33-year-old actress explained that in one scene, her character Daisy "hooks up with a random person" and the show's producers told her that casting the Australian stuntman in the cameo role would be "so funny."

Meyers then asked Keough if simulating intercourse with her spouse on set was "more or less awkward."

"It was more awkward," the Golden Globe nominee admitted.

She continued, "I think that they were thinking it would be less awkward. And then we got there, and they're like, 'This is really uncomfortable."

"For one, I've never had pretend sex with my husband," Keough added with a laugh. "And for two, typically when you do these things, and it’s somebody coming in for the day, you’re like, ‘Hello, nice to meet you,' and you kind of get down to business and it’s very professional."

"But with him … really, we were just giggling the whole time. It was so weird."

The "Logan Lucky" star said that the situation was even more awkward because her character was supposed to be "not really enjoying" the sexual encounter.

"I really kept feeling inclined to be like, ‘In real life, it’s not like this,'" she said while laughing. "And then I was like, ‘I’ll just, you know, keep that to myself.'"

Keough married Smith-Petersen in 2015 after the two met on the set of "Mad Max: Fury Road." Smith-Petersen revealed that the couple had secretly welcomed a daughter last year while speaking at the memorial for Keough's mother Lisa Marie Presley in January.

The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley unexpectedly died on Jan. 12 at the age of 54. The investigation into Lisa Marie's cause of death is ongoing.

The U.S. Sun previously revealed Priscilla will be "leading the charge" when it comes to promoting the Elvis film, starring actor Austin Butler, at this year's Academy Awards.

But while the pair will be able to stay apart at the main event at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, and the after-show Governor's Ball, they may not be able to avoid each other at an intimate bash they are both invited to.

Leading actor Butler and director Baz Luhrmann, along with the cast and Elvis' family, are expected to meet with Warner Brothers executives for the soiree on Sunday.

Studio heads are hosting a '"dinner and drinks affair to celebrate a fantastic awards season run" at trendy Ysabel restaurant in West Hollywood.

The new twist in the tension between the pair comes after The U.S Sun revealed Keough, despite being Elvis' granddaughter, was being "kept away from the potential drama" on the Oscar red carpet.

A security source connected to the restaurant confirmed: "No one has told us that any member of Elvis' family is not welcome. It is a celebration of the film and the family, so Riley and her husband could be a part of that."

The insider claimed one factor in Keough being welcomed to the Warner Brothers event is that she is signed to the company's record label Atlantic as part of her TV series Daisy Jones And The Six deal.

The source added: "These are very delicate matters for a studio. When business dealings and matters at a corporate level are involved often no one wants to be seen taking sides.

"Riley is connected to Warners. What happens between the family behind closed doors is a separate matter."

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Priscilla and Lisa Marie's reps for comment but did not hear back.

A separate PR source says director Luhrmann and star Butler find what has happened to the Presley family "incomprehensible."

A source revealed to People for the magazine's cover story this week that the 34-year-old has been very protective of her twin sisters. Finley and Harper Lockwood, both 14, are Lisa Marie's kids with Michael Lockwood.

"Riley has always been close with her sisters," the insider said. "She wants the best for them. They have been surrounded by drama for years."

The siblings attended the public memorial for Lisa Marie at Graceland on Jan. 22. Amid their closeness, Keough drifts away from her grandmother, Priscilla, who filed a petition over Lisa Marie's living trust.

A source said: “Shortly before Lisa’s death, she spoke to the Duchess about the idea of collaborating with Riley on a movie, perhaps based on the Duchess’s novels or her own life story.

“The Duchess is determined to be there for Lisa Marie’s children and support them in any way she can.”

Riley Keough on Growing Up Presley, Losing Lisa Marie, and Inheriting Graceland

Daisy Jones & the Six propelled her to stardom even as she navigated tragedies, new motherhood, and a legal struggle with Priscilla.

Her grandfather died before she was born, but his house in Memphis stayed in the family. Graceland. Years ago, Riley Keough and her mom, Lisa Marie Presley, would visit for Thanksgiving with Keough’s brother and sisters. They would stay at the official hotel, and when the tourists departed the legendary home for the day, they’d go over and hang out, drive golf carts around the grounds, and celebrate the season together. “When Elvis’s chefs were alive, they used to still cook dinner for us, which was really special,” she tells me. “It was very Southern: greens and fried catfish and fried chicken and hush puppies. Cornbread and beans. Banana pudding.”

It’s an early evening in May—Keough’s 34th birthday, as it happens—and we’re in a hotel lobby outside St. Gallen, Switzerland, hoping a waiter will materialize. The place is nearly empty. An elderly woman sleeps in a wheelchair. A bartender swats flies away from a sweating cheese plate. A pianist is attempting to enliven happy hour with a classical rendition of R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion.” The chords reverberate around the vast, sterile rotunda.

“There were a few times that we slept there,” Keough says of Graceland, “but I don’t know if I should say that.” She pauses. The second floor has always been closed to the public out of respect for Elvis Presley’s family because the singer had a fatal heart attack there. Then again, Keough’s family was Presley’s family. Who had the right to be there if not them? “The tours would start in the morning, and we would hide upstairs until they were over,” she continues. “The security would bring us breakfast. It’s actually such a great memory. We would order sausage and biscuits, and hide until the tourists finished.”

In the coming weeks, I’ll hear Keough’s unselfconscious laugh and see the spitfire side of her that her friends adore. But today, she speaks softly and carefully, with her knees pulled up to her chest. Life has thrown a lot at her in short order, some of it joyous, some of it obliterating: the death of her brother, by suicide, in 2020. The birth of her and her husband’s daughter in 2022. The death of her mother, following complications of prior weight-loss surgery, early this year. The debut of her star-making ’70s rock series, Daisy Jones & the Six, for which she was nominated for an Emmy. A surprising legal fight with her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, over Lisa Marie’s estate and hence Graceland, as well as the family’s interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Keough and I will talk about all of this. She will introduce me to her baby and tell me the girl’s name, which she’s never made public before. She’ll say, of the losses she’s suffered, that there were times it felt like something fundamental had broken inside her. But now, in the hotel lobby, she says simply, “This is not my best birthday.” It’s her first without her mother, for one thing. “Last year, I was in Greece wrapping Daisy Jones. I found out that I won the Camera d’Or, I was on the beach, and it all happened at the same time. It was very beautiful. I feel like that’ll ride me through this one.”

Keough is now the sole custodian of Graceland and the family shares of Elvis Presley Enterprises, all of which were worth just $5 million at the time of Elvis’s death and are now reportedly in the neighborhood of $500 million. She’s also a rising star, producer, and director: The award at Cannes was for the drama War Pony, which she codirected with Gina Gammell, about two Lakota boys on a reservation in South Dakota. Everything that happened to Keough this year, good and bad, happened in full public view—and will continue to.

"My whole childhood was probably very extreme,” Keough says. She breaks the tension with one of her big, guttural laughs. “In hindsight, I can see how crazy these things would be to somebody from the outside. But when you’re living in them, it’s just your life and your family. You just remember the love, and I had real love for Michael.”

“Which one did I like better?” she wonders aloud. “I spent more time at Neverland than Graceland, to be honest. That was a real home, whereas Graceland was a museum in my lifetime.”

“Oh my gosh,” she says, “I think it would take hours and hours to summarize her, but she was really one of a kind.” She lets out another of those booming laughs that seem too big for her body. “She was just so unapologetically herself in every circumstance, and so strong.” Here, the sentences start coming in pieces again. “The life she had was not easy, and the treachery she endured and the lack of real love and real friends.… She definitely had some great friends and relationships in her life, but I don’t think she really ever had.… People were just coming for her since she was born—wanting something from her and not being totally authentic. She had to develop very thick skin. She was a very powerful presence and extremely loving and extremely loyal and sort of a lioness—a fierce woman, and a really wonderful mother. I think that would be my summary because I’m her daughter. She was the best mom.”

Lisa Marie Presley's Ex-Husband Michael Fears Riley Keough's Second Baby Will Impact His Cut of $110 Million Estate: Report

Riley Keough is set to have a second surrogate baby, but that's no bundle of joy for her late mother's ex-husband Michael Lockwood, who reportedly fears the new addition will mean less money for him from the massive estate, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Lockwood, 64, has full-custody of 34-year-old Riley's teenage twin half-sisters, Harper and Finley, since the death of their mom, Lisa Marie Presley. While the 64-year-old has full-custody of the twins, he's dependent on Riley's management of the estate for cash for their care.

"The twins are 14 and Michael knows he only has a limited time to receive and manage funds for them before they're emancipated," an insider told the National Enquirer.

"Now he's concerned more money will go to Riley's children and there will be less cash for him to get his hands on while he can," the tipster claimed.

As previously reported, Lisa Marie rewrote her will before her shocking death on January 12 from cardiac arrest. In her updated version, Lisa Marie left control of the $110 million estate to Riley.

Sources claimed that Lisa Marie wanted no part of her unemployed musician ex-husband after their bitter 2016 split. Lisa Marie and Lockwood eventually finalized their divorce in 2021.

Now sources claim Riley remains wary of Lockwood managing money for her 14-year-old sisters — especially after he demanded a whopping $40,000 a month in child support last December.

After much legal haggling, Lockwood was forced to settle for $6,000 a month in child support from the Riley-controlled estate.

"News of another child sent him into a panic," a tipster said. "All he can see is more money going to Riley and her family and less opportunity for him!"

This isn't the first time that concern over the twin's share of the estate has been raised.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Harper and Finley hired legal counsel to represent them in estate matters because they're minors. Essentially, the teens wanted to guarantee that they received a fair share of their mother's estate regardless of their age.

The twins hired legal representation after their maternal grandmother, Priscilla Presley, dropper her case to be named co-trustee on the estate in exchange for a $1 million payout from granddaughter Riley.

Lisa Marie Presley 'Didn't Like Being in the Public Eye,' Avoided Any 'Attention' Unlike Her Mother Priscilla, Says Riley Keough

"You have a grandmother who loves to be the master of ceremonies; she loves to be in the limelight, and she loves to be very welcoming," Weinshanker pointed out to the Logan Lucky actress. "And you had a mother who was exactly the opposite."

"I think, you know, everybody's different," Keough explained of the two. "[My mother] wasn't somebody who liked attention. She didn't like being in the public eye — which is a crazy situation that she was born into for somebody who doesn't like attention."

Despite not wanting to be thrust into the public eye, the "Lights Out" vocalist — who was 54 when she passed away in January — enjoyed being around people who adored her father. "But she loved coming to Graceland, she loved the fans, and she loved being with the original generation of Elvis fans," the Daisy Jones and The Six star revealed.

"And my grandmother, obviously, for so many years, she dedicated her whole life to Elvis' legacy," Keough said of the matriarch of the family.

Following the shocking death of the songwriter — who died of "small bowel obstruction" caused by a bariatric surgery she had undergone — Keough and her younger sisters, 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley, have continued to pick up the pieces.
"She's still grieving," a source explained of The Lodge star — whose father is Presley's former husband Danny Keough. "While the sadness will never go away, Riley's doing her best to heal."
