The grieving twin daughters of Lisa Marie Presley were seen out in public this week for the first time since their mother's tragic, untimely death, both bearing an uncanny resemblance to their beloved mom and granddad Elvis.

Just as they had done in previous years, Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14, were planning to celebrate their mother's birthday on February 1, most likely alongside older sister Riley and grandmother Priscilla.

But the two sisters were instead forced to spend the day Lisa Marie would have turned 55 honoring her memory, while still coming to terms with her shock passing just three weeks ago.

The fraternal twins were the poignant image of their late mother and their grandpa Elvis on Wednesday as they were spotted spending time with their father, guitarist Michael Lockwood, in Santa Monica.

The girls were seen putting on a brave face while picking up refreshing iced beverages at a local cafe, before heading off in their dad's SUV.

Both sisters were dressed comfortable and casually. Harper wore a black body suit under a green short-sleeved button-up shirt and black Uggs.

She was also seen sporting a yellow Starface pimple patch – made popular by celebrities like Justin Bieber and Millie Bobby Brown – on her forehead.

Finley, meanwhile, was sporting a white oversized hoodie, cargo pants, and sneakers, and carried a large, cream-colored messenger bag.

At 14, Harper and Finley are only five years older than their mother was when her father, Elvis, died in 1977 aged 42. She was the only child of the King of Rock.

And just like their mother, the twins are heirs to the rock and roll icon's distinct looks, and perhaps his talent, with those famous Presley sleepy eyes and bone structure becoming more evident as they blossom into beautiful young women.

Lisa Marie Presley Children: Will Danny Keough Want Custody of Twins Harper and Finley Lockwood?

Who will have custody of Lisa Marie Presley's underage twins, Finley and Harper?

According to court records acquired by The Sun, her ex-husband Michael Lockwood, who is the father of the 14-year-old twins, recently asked for privacy.

The problematic only child of the King of Rock'n' Roll, Elvis Presley, passed away on January 12 after experiencing two cardiac arrests. Riley Keough, her oldest daughter, and her twins were left behind.
According to insiders who talked to TMZ, Lisa Marie's fourth husband, Michael, has a decent chance of winning full custody of their kids and has made it obvious that they want to live with him full-time.
When their mother passed away, they have been residing with Michael and his new wife.

There were speculations that Lisa Marie's second husband, Danny Keough, could wish to take custody of the young women.

He moved in with Lisa Marie, Finley, and Harper two years after the passing of their son Benjamin Keough.

Danny would not be eligible for custody under California law, but he may still make a legal argument for it.

Michael Lockwood's attorney Joseph Yanny recently sought a case management meeting and asked that it be kept confidential, according to court records that the outlet was able to obtain. Thankfully, a court approved it.

The conference is scheduled for next month as the Presley family considers their future moves while the twins cope with the loss of their mother Lisa Marie, according to the filings.

The scheduling meeting may be the first of multiple court appearances before a domestic case's trial date, according to The Sun.

Meanwhile, a legal expert told the publication that if two people share custody of the children and one of them passes away, control would automatically pass to the remaining parent.

"Family members could ask for visitation or custody of the children if there are issues with the surviving parent, but generally, the children's father in this situation would have custody."

The expert emphasized that in some situations, third parties-like Danny-may find it challenging to get custody, and that family members might not have any legal grounds to contest the custody arrangement.

Michael Lockwood and Lisa Marie Presley already shared custody of the twins following the legal struggle, which, according to Michael Lockwood, has left him in financial trouble.

Lisa Marie Presley's lookalike 14-year-old daughter Harper was the spitting image of her late mother as she stepped out with her father, Michael Lockwood, for the first time since he was awarded full custody over her and her twin sister, Finley, in a move that finally ended a seven-year custody battle between himself and Elvis' daughter.

The father-daughter duo were not joined by Harper's twin sister as they headed out to buy groceries in Los Angeles on Monday - when the teen put on a very trendy display in a black skirt, baggy grey sweater, and black UGG boots.

Harper wore her blonde, pink-tinted hair in loose waves around her shoulders and carried her iPhone in her hand as she exited a store with her 61-year-old father, who was seen sporting a large fur hat and tortoiseshell glasses, while holding onto a tote that was covered in cartoon dog faces.

Lockwood, who became Lisa Marie's fourth husband when they tied the knot in 2006, had a wide smile on his face as he emerged from the store - showing no signs of the family feud that is said to have been heightened as a result of the custody ruling earlier this month.

Harper is already the spitting image of her mother as she blossoms into a young woman, having inherited the rock and roll icon's distinct looks including those famous Presley sleepy eyes and bone structure.

It is the first time that Lockwood or either of his twin daughters have been seen together since he was awarded full custody.

Although twin sister Finley was not present, the father-daughter trio were previously seen out together in Santa Monica on February 1 in the wake of Lisa Marie's death.
