Elvis Presley's only grandson died on Sunday, his mother Lisa Marie Presley's manager has confirmed.

Benjamin Keough was 27, but manager Roger Widynowski gave no further details about his death.

He said Lisa Marie, 52, was "heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated".

"She adored that boy. He was the love of her life," Widynowski said, adding that she was "trying to stay strong" for her three daughters.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed that the death of a person of his name and age was under investigation, but there was no other immediate information on the circumstances.

He was the younger of the two children Lisa Marie Presley had with her first husband, musician Danny Keough, before their divorce in 1994. The other is actress Riley Keough, 31.

Lisa Marie had previously described Keough's resemblance to her famous father as "just uncanny." Rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley died in 1977 aged 42.

Lisa Marie also has twin 11-year-old daughters with her fourth husband, musician and producer Michael Lockwood, who she wed in 2006 after brief marriages to pop star Michael Jackson and actor Nicolas Cage.

Her close relationship with her son, whose middle name was Storm, apparently inspired the title track on her third album, Storm & Grace, released in 2012.

Keough took his own life at his Calabasas home on July 12 in the presence of his girlfriend, Diana Pinto, who reportedly attended the event. A source spoke to the outlet.

SOURCE SAYS FUNERAL WAS EMOTIONAL AND GIVES DETAILS

"It was an emotional day for everyone," said the source. They explained that the family gathered together before going to the cherry blossom-decorated funeral venue.

The source noted that Keough's mother, Lisa Marie Presley, struggled to find a venue amid the coronavirus pandemic. The event saw Keough's body placed in an open casket.


The source alleged that Keough's outfit — a designer suit — shocked some of the guests because of his manner of death. Guests could enter a viewing room to see Keough for a final time before the burial.

LISA MARIE'S MOTHER ATTENDED, HIS FATHER WAS ABSENT

The Sun further claimed that Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla was at the funeral despite the pair's rocky relationship. Lisa Marie's half-brother, Navarone Garibaldi, was also present.

Also in attendance were Keough's half-sisters Finley and Harper, 11 and his best friend, Trevor Lukather, who posted an Instagram story on his page saying, "There was never a dull moment together."

Soon after the tragic news, Keough's manager, Roger Widynowski, said that Lisa Marie was "inconsolable and beyond devastated" about her loss. He added that she was trying to be strong for her daughters.

The Sun reports that Keough's father, musician Danny, was not present at the funeral. They noted that his older sister, Riley, 31, was having difficulty coping like everyone else.

Keough's former girlfriend, Alexa Rohde, shared a tribute following the death earlier this month. Taking to Instagram, Rohde praised Keough and listed a few of her favorite things about him.

The family was facing a mold issue before Keough's death, so Lisa Marie had already planned on relocating. However, she does not want to go back because she refuses to relive the horrific morning her son died.

Meanwhile, last week, Priscilla finally broke her silence and shared a tribute to her grandson. "Each day I wake up, I pray it will get better," she wrote. She said she was thinking of what her daughter is going through.

Keough — the grandson of the late Elvis Presley — died by suicide on Sunday in Calabasas, California.

A representative for his mother told PEOPLE that the star is "beyond devastated" over the death of her son, whom she shares with ex-husband Danny Keough.

"She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley," Roger Widynowski said. "She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

Back in October 2014, Presley spoke to Healthy Living magazine about her family, which she called "just very normal."

Lisa Marie had a particularly close bond with her son. They even got matching tattoos for Mother’s Day in 2009. Speaking to fans about it on Twitter in May 2012, she said it was “a Celtic eternity knot” that represents “eternal love and connection.”

The suicide of Benjamin Keough, the son of Lisa Marie Presley and grandson to Elvis Presley, has left a massive void in the family. The shock of the death has reportedly been "devastating" to the family, according to Priscilla Presley in a post shared on Facebook.

"Trying to put all the pieces together of all the possible whys has penetrated my soul. Each day I wake up I pray it will get better," Presley wrote in a statement on Facebook. "I think of my daughter and the pain she is going through as she was a doting mother. Ben's father, Danny, who is completely lost, as Ben was his only son. Riley, so loving and so close to him; Harper and Finley, who absolutely adored Ben. Navarone, who struggles deeply with loss and death. Rest In Peace Ben, you were loved."

According to OK Magazine, Presley has been the glue, doing her part to keep the family together and be a rock for them to cope with the loss. According to a source close to the 75-year-old actress, she has been at the head of dealing with the grief and supporting her daughter and her children, including actress Riley Keough and twins Finley and Harper.

"The sense of loss has been unbearable," the source told OK Magazine. "Priscilla is leading the charge making sure everyone is eating and taking care of themselves as best they can. It's been such a blessing to have her in their lives."

The report says that Presley has been by her daughter's side "virtually every day since Ben's death." This includes grocery shopping, taking care of any bills, looking after the kids and giving advice to Keough as her career continues to grow. "For Priscilla, family is what matters most. She puts them first and doesn't dwell on the past. She's really been a rock to everyone around her," the source finished.

Grief is nothing new for Presley. Despite splitting from Elvis in 1973, she reportedly never fell out of love with the singer and was devastated when he passed away. According to the source, it's that experience that helped prepare her for the current situation affecting the family.

"Priscilla feels like he's always there with her, looking down and watching over," the outlet shared. Aside from the painful family tragedy, Priscilla Presley has also had to deal with the defacing of Graceland amid growing protests across the U.S. in 2020.

DailyMail.com revealed Monday that neighbors heard a woman screaming 'don't do it' at around 3.30am Sunday. It's believed that scream came from Diana.

Neighbors said people were partying at the home at 1am and heard screams around 3.30am. They noted police showed up to the home hours later around 6am.

Diana was interviewed by police, with a neighbor explaining: 'She was pretty hysterical saying ''I can't believe it.'' She just kept swearing and saying, ''I can't believe it... I can't believe he would do that to himself.''

'She said, ''the family's going to hate me'' and ''they're going to blame me.'' I think she was feeling guilty for it happening.'

Benjamin was the second child of Lisa Marie and her first husband, musician Danny Keough.

Lisa Marie and Danny tied the knot in 1988 and welcomed daughter, Riley, the following year.

Benjamin was born in 1992 - two years before Lisa Marie and Danny divorced.

Lisa Marie went on to have short-lived marriages with Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, before she wed her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood in 2006.

The couple welcomed twin daughters, Finley and Harper, in 2008. They split in 2016.

"Your laugh is heard all over the world now," she continued. Authorities were contacted and he was pronounced dead without any medical intervention.

According to the report, Ben had a “history of depression” and was “known to abuse alcohol and use illicit drugs, cocaine.”

His most recent rehab stint was between four and five months ago over a three-week period.

Ben had been to rehab three times and only completed the program once.

He had attempted suicide between five and six months prior, according to the report.

The report also noted he had “major depression” three months ago where he would stay in his room for “long periods of time.”

He allegedly did not seek medical attention for his mental illness.

The report also claimed video surveillance with audio showed a “possible verbal argument between the descendant and the girlfriend in the backyard of the residence.”

He left to go to his bathroom and a few minutes later an “apparent gunshot could be heard.”

"There has also been a lot of drama in the family in recent years, I think it was all just too much for him. It's unbelievable. It's heartbreaking. Ben was a force, an amazing kid."

Like his grandfather, Benjamin’s body was placed in an open casket at the remembrance.

Also attending the Malibu service was Benjamin’s father Danny Keough, grandmother Priscilla Presley, his uncle Navarone Garibaldi and his girlfriend Diana.

Lisa Marie’s twin daughters Finley and Harper, 11, were also there.
