Oprah Winfrey to Interview Michael Jackson's Family; Randy Jackson Takes to Twitter in Protest
Say it ain't O! For her 25th and final season, talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is really pulling out all the stops. But nothing may top her reported upcoming interview with members of Michael Jackson's family.
While no definitive details of the Jackson family interview have not yet been revealed, fans are speculating that Oprah will interview one or both of
MJ's parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson.
According to TMZ, Oprah's crew was spotted filming at the Jackson family compound last week. And while Oprah herself wasn't there, viewers know that her production team routinely films opening segments on location. It is likely that one or more members of the Jackson family will be flying to Chicago to sit down for an interview with Oprah- or perhaps O herself will pay a separate visit to the Jackson's Encino home.
But some Jacksons aren't too happy about the news. While little sis Janet Jackson sat down with Oprah back in April, other Jacksons are decidedly anti-Oprah, most notably Randy Jackson (no, not the American Idol guy) who angrily tweeted , "I found out Oprah was at our family home, my stomach ached and it still hasn't gone away.... she is the last person on earth he would want around his children."
Randy Jackson's Twitter rampage continued with, "i can never forget when she had the show on pedophilia during the jury deliberation process in my brother's santa maria case.....that was no coincidence."
Oprah famously interviewed the King of Pop back in 1993 at his Neverland Ranch. And while she didn't attend Jackson's funeral or speak out publically about him immediately following his death in 2009, she later offered a tribute to the late singer called "Oprah Remembers Michael Jackson", chock full of clips from her famous interview.
Meanwhile, fans are wondering what happened to Oprah's interview with Michael Jackson's former wife, Lisa Marie Presley. Presley sat down with Oprah back in 2005 and touched on the subject of her brief marriage to Michael, saying that "All signs point to yes on that" when Winfrey asked her if she thought Michael Jackson had "used" her during their marriage.
