The surviving members of the Jackson 5, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie, announced their first tour together since their iconic 1984 Victory Tour. In an interview on Wednesday, Jackie also admitted that a Michael Jackson hologram could join the tour, much like the now-famous Tupac hologram that ‘performed’ at Coachella last weekend.
In the announcement, which was released on April 6, The Jacksons said that the tour will start on June 18 with a date in Louisville. In a statement, Jackie called it a “dream come true,” adding, “I can't believe this is finally happening. There's nothing like having all the brothers on stage at the same time. This will be exciting for our fans around the world-- and I know at each concert, MJ's spirit will be in the house with us.”
Jermain added that the new tour will give the family a chance to honor its legacy and the music. “We are ready and committed to keep the family's legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity, and most of all, integrity,” he said.
While there was no talk of a hologram in the announcement, Jackie was asked by E! News Wednesday if it was a possibility. "It could have Michael—absolutely. Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show," he told the site.
Jackie added that the group is still working on the set list, but the Jacksons do plan on performing some of Michael’s songs. “We're going to honor him on the stage. He'd want us to do our thing to the best of our ability."
